Jhetaun Neil also known as JT was born August 25, 1986, in Colorado Springs Colorado. During her pregnancy his mother Thereish would say the only time Jhetaun would kick is when his father’s band would rehearse in the basement. Initially having a passion for basketball that would all soon come to an end after his mother lost her battle to cancer. 

He would temporarily walk away from composing after becoming discouraged from being so close but so far away from his big break. After learning he would soon become a father he decided to join US ARMY on active duty. After serving 11 years SSG Neil would be medically retired, he describes this feeling as bittersweet due to losing his father a month prior to covid.

After separating from the military, he decided to do something he’d been set on doing since high school, attending Full Sail University. Studying to receive his bachelors in Audio Production early 2025, JT has already formed his production company. “Every time I tried stepping away from music it always called me back”, he would say after being asked how he knew music was his calling.
